I am so glad you are here! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and A Soft Place to Land.

My name is Dr. Vanessa Freeman (pronouns: she/her/hers) and I am a biracial Black woman who has been spending time in my personal life trying to figure out ways to take care of myself while still showing up for others. As a partner, daughter, sister, auntie, friend, therapist, and coach I often feel like I have a lot to juggle! I know that I am not alone in feeling like I have to show up and show out in all the spaces I occupy.

This is what motivates me to work with other Black women to honor that part of ourselves that is fierce, strong, smart, and caring while leaving room for vulnerability, softness, joy, and rest. I do this in a way that is supportive, encouraging, and empowering. By making sure you know that you are not alone in your quest for self-compassion and that you are absolutely capable of creating a wellness routine that works for you and your life.

I am passionate about helping Black women embrace all aspects of themselves and feeling good while doing it. I am most excited when I am encouraging, motivating, and problem-solving with women who are ready to challenge the expectation that we sacrifice ourselves for the greater good.

I have spent the past 10 years providing therapy services as a psychologist and am excited to use the skills I have learned to provide coaching services to women who are ready to become their own soft place to land!
